ACANTI

Acanti is the outcome of an established understanding and respect for ancient clay firing methods.  The techniques, perfected and passed verbally from one generation to another has resulted in a contemporary handmade terracotta tile.  Acanti, with its embossed like surface, pushes to the foreground a geometric pattern reminiscent of the geometric patterns found in renaissance gardens.  This element of surface variation delights with is activation of light, transforming a flat surface into a surface of depth and variation.  Made to be inter connected in various ways Acanti is also available as a debossed raw or glazed version, offering projects a multitude of possibilities.
