VALS SPLITFACE
Vals is also known as a mica quartzite. This beautiful Swiss stone presents a fine-veined texture showcasing colours of grey, green and silver tones, the outcome of what is believed to be 250-million years of formation. This alpine originating stone is famous for its use in praised architect Peter Zumthor’s work – the Therme Vals. The work of Zumthor’s is somewhat a shrine to this beautiful stone which clads every surface of this structure.
