Material Space is honoured to have supplied material into this Auckland villa remodelling. Supporting Interior Designer Katie Lockhart by supplying handmade Italian terracotta tiles for this project, the warm, natural surface is implemented inside the contemporary extension of this early 20th century dwelling and continues outside in the adjoining patio area.
Working with the project Architect Jack McKinney, Maximum large format 6mm thick porcelain panels were implemented on the exterior cladding of the extension in unison with the Struktec cladding system. The porcelain panels referencing Calacatta marble deliver a low maintenance, low weight, UV stable material for the demanding environment that exteriors endure.
