Mother

Mother, a deli, bakery and wine bar in Grey Lynn, is the latest project by Auckland studio CTRL Space, defined by its considered use of materials to create a unique and harmonious space.

ARUTE Toya tiles anchor the counter and bar, their textured surfaces, tonal depth and patination highlighted by precise lighting. Crafted in Japan from 80% recycled materials, using molten slag from incinerated inorganic waste, the tiles offer both a striking aesthetic and a sustainable proposition.
