Anti-viral, Anti-pollution, Self-cleaning, Anti-odour surfaces
ACTIVE 2.0 is a revolutionary process developed and patented by Fiandre that fuses titanium dioxide and silver in a micrometric layer onto porcelain surfaces forming a non-toxic, invisible and permanent finish that will not wear out or wear off. When exposed to light and humidity this surface acts to decompose organic and inorganic molecules and demonstrates the following properties:
Anti-viral
ACTIVE 2.0 is the only product in the market that is ISO certified to be both anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Virus particles are considerably smaller than bacterial ones - so an anti-viral surface provides for an enhanced level of protection. And unlike materials that call themselves “anti-bacterial” but that simply stop the spread of bacteria, ACTIVE 2.0 actually kills bacteria and viruses. Active 2.0 surfaces have been proven to eliminate 94% of SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) after just 4 hours exposure to low intensity UV light (natural light, traditional or LED lightbulbs).
Self-cleaning
The anti-mould and antifungal properties of ACTIVE 2.0 are also ISO certified. Dirt adheres less to this surface and as such there is little need for detergents or physical cleaning even when used for external façades where rain alone is sufficient to keep the building clean.
Anti-pollution
ACTIVE 2.0 serves to degrade airborne pollutants and volatile organic compounds (VOC’S). So these surfaces improve air quality by physically cleaning the air around them. 1m2 of ACTIVE 2.0 surface removes the same amount of nitros oxide from the environment annually as the equivalent of 12m2 of forest.
Anti-odour
ACTIVE 2.0 also degrades and destroys odorous molecules thus eliminating unpleasant smells.
Green and sustainable buildings have become the benchmark for what “best quality” means in the commercial sector given empirical evidence that shows green spaces support the following:
Reduced energy consumption
Rental premiums
Increased marketability
Higher occupancy rates
Reductions in absenteeism and staff turnover
Greater productivity and profitability for building owners and their tenants
